What happens when you contact us
Here is exactly what to expect after you reach out:
Step 1
Initial conversation
We ask about your project — what borough, what type of work, the size of the space, and your rough timeline. This takes about five minutes and helps us come prepared to the site visit.
Step 2
Site visit scheduled
For Bronx projects, we can usually visit within 24-48 hours. For other boroughs, typically 2-4 business days. We will give you a specific appointment time, not a “sometime between 9 and 5” window.
Step 3
In-person assessment
We come to your property and look at the full scope — what you want done, what the existing conditions are, and whether anything we see might affect the plan or the cost. We ask questions. We do not just walk around and leave.
Step 4
Written proposal
Within a few days of the site visit, you receive a written proposal with a clear scope of work, itemized costs, project timeline, and payment schedule. No verbal estimates that change later.

Before you call
What to have ready
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. But having a few details ready makes the initial conversation more useful:
- Your address and borough
- A general description of the work — even “I want to renovate my kitchen” is enough to start
- Approximate square footage of the space if you know it
- Your timeline — when you are hoping to start and how long you expect the project to take
- Any specific materials or finishes you have in mind, even if vague (“I want white cabinets and dark countertops”)
- Whether the property is a co-op, condo, or privately owned — this affects the permit and approval process
If you have floor plans, photos, or a previous contractor estimate, bring those to the site visit. They are helpful but not required.

We do not give firm estimates over the phone. Construction costs in NYC depend on conditions we have to see in person — wall materials, existing plumbing and electrical, access constraints, and floor conditions all affect the number. An estimate given without a site visit is a guess. We do not do that to you.
